LUMIN8 Productions is a Chicago based production house, that offers safe and inspiring solutions for artists and clients. Film making is first and foremost with Directors, DP’s, Writers, Audio Engineers, and Editors ready to begin planning and working on your project. Working with industry leading equipment, and a very creative team, we can elevate the quality of anything you bring us!
My studio is located in the artistically popular Wicker Park area of Chicago. About a half block from the Blue Line “Division” stop, it’s easily accessible from anywhere in the city, as well as O’hare airport. We are on a third floor, just two set of stairs and your in. Stairs and doors are wide enough to move things into the space comfortably. We have several amazing restaurants, and a Jewels, Dunkin Donuts, and Lowe’s directly behind my building.
We do not allow parties here, this space is more suited and dedicated to film and photo production, movie premieres, sit down performances like singer songwriter or comedy. We will allow intimate parties that are more chill and relaxed. Our capacity is 50, and we are pretty strict, so please plan accordingly.
This space is about 5200sq ft, and has a usable 4000 sq ft. dedicated towards rentable space. Which includes several spaces for different creative projects or hosting. Each room offers a unique look, with several surfaces and textures, perfect for photo shoots and film work.
The Rooms and their possible uses : (All spaces are included with the rental)
Space A :
16ft wide matte Black shiplap wood wall.
8ft wide makeup and hair station with 2 tall chairs and USB outlets built in.
Keurig coffee station, with creamer and sugar available.
There is a mounted smart tv at the makeup station for Hulu and Netflix.
This space has several overhead mounting points for film making and live streams/ broadcasting. Easily riggable with lighting, microphones, and wired internet.
Space B :
8ft wide Black “ship lap style” wood wall.
11ft wide Neutral White wall”.
15ft wide matte Black trimmed out wall.
This space is setup like a lounge, excellent as a film set or editorial photo set.
Space C :
This is a 11x30ft space we call “The Day Room”
5 large windows, in a mostly white room with plenty of daylight.
1 of the walls is “Matte White panel board” with Black “French Style doors”.
There is also a 8ft wall mounted table with 4 bar stools, and USB outlets.
Space D “The Theatre” :
(note that many of these features are add ons, not included in the rental cost)
This is a 36x24 multi purpose room.
The 20ft white cyclorama wall is not perfectly seamless, but can easily be blown out.
The Stage is about 8x24, that sits approx. 2ft high.
The control room includes a mixer and wired network for streaming.
Stage has a 12 channel snake, run to a 16 channel digital mixer. (XLR and 1/4 inch)
The mixer can record the sessions played through it.
The mixer also has several built in FX “reverbs, delays, compressors etc.”.
The PA “speaker system” has 2 wall mounted speakers, and 2 stage speakers.
The speakers are high power and high quality, and can fill the space with a beautifully clean sound.
There’s a full 4K 10bit HDR projection system, and 180 inch electric drop down screen.
The stage has a Black curtain backdrop that opens to reveal a “Green Sceen”.
8ft makeup station, or general use wall mounted table with 2 tall chairs.
There are 4 par lights that light the stage in any color or UV.
There are several DJ lights, strobes, lasers and fog, for a club like vibe.

If you try to book around major holiday, our rate per hour does increase, so expect an offer back with the holiday rate.
SATURDAYS are 5 hour minimum rentals.
We take our cleaning process very seriously so that we can all make it through this.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable.
