Moon Huts

The huts are a readymade, unique warehouse property that create a grunge, dystopian, urban vibe. Our curved walls can achieve the look of deep space or underground bunker. Besides video and photo shoots, we accommodate meetings, rehearsals, set construction, and other events and productions. We have onsite parking and industrial roll up doors with loading docks. We are conveniently located at the end of the 710 freeway.

The Moonhuts are three unaltered WWII era Quonset Huts plus studios. Our steel 1947 buildings originally housed military personnel, and have a led a colorful life since then—including as an iron works, tire store, a Harley Davidson biker club, a murder and crime cleanup service, and an “herbal” grow house. We are now all cleaned up and ready to serve your needs! The space is a total of 4000 square feet—each hut is 1000 square feet.

Hut #1 is a Hobbit-like living space.

Hut #2 has an interior gridded/skeletal structure that can accommodate lights.

Hut #3 is clean and smooth, like the inside of a whale.

Every shoot includes Hut #2 and #3—use one for production and the other for prep/craft services/green room. The location is quickly becoming a go-to space for music videos, sci-fi, post-apocalyptic and military films. It has been outfitted as army barracks, post-nuclear survival bunker, spaceship and off-planet space colony, kidnapping hideout, crime/murder scene, and a creepy hospital. We have a smoke machine and you may flood the floors for reflective effects.**Cast & crews larger than 20 are welcome, but will be charged a custom rate. We've added outdoor sink and sitting areas.  Extra fans to always keep the air moving inside.

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable.
